About Us

EDVIS is a non-profit, unincorporated association comprised of law students from a wide range of educational, professional, and personal backgrounds. Our team includes students with diverse legal training, experience in social work, criminology, and advocacy, as well as personal experiences that fuel our commitment to supporting victims of violence.

We advocate for the rights of all victims, regardless of their age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability. Recognizing the challenges of obtaining timely support due to limited resources and the high demand for assistance, we are dedicated to offering free and confidential services efficiently and compassionately.

The Association does not, and cannot, provide legal advice, recommendations, or opinions on legal proceedings. However, we offer a range of services designed to make the rehabilitation process easier for victims.

Interpersonal violence refers to any intentional use of physical force, threats, or harmful behavior by one person against another. If someone intended harm, it can be considered violence, and we can help.

These include:

  • Coercive control

  • Stalking, harassment and blackmail

  • Humiliation and threat

  • Physical violence

  • Bullying

  • Psychological violence

  • Technological control

  • Spiritual and religious control

  • Control of your property

What is interpersonal violence?

What about sexual violence?

Sexual violence is any sexual act or attempt to obtain a sexual act by coercion, force, threats, manipulation, or exploitation of a person’s vulnerability, without their consent.

  • Rape

  • Gang rape

  • Incest

  • Sexual touching and contacts

  • Harassment and threats

  • Indecent exposure (exhibitionism)

  • Voyeurism

  • Non-consensual condom removal

Sexual violence can take many forms, and it’s okay if none of the common categories seem to match your experience. If a situation doesn’t feel right to you, we’re here to support you.

How can I help?

At EDVIS, all our services are free and confidential. The support provided to survivors—whether it’s covering transportation to court, basic needs, or other medical and victimization-related costs—is currently funded out of our members' own pockets. Any assistance would greatly benefit us.

Help us make sure all survivors receive the support they need, without facing financial barriers.
